With the new season soon upon us, we here at RLShop like to prove to the world just how unpredictable Super League by making our predictions for the new season (and getting them wrong). So here we go.

1.Warrington Wolves

2.Wigan Warriors

3. St Helens

4. Catalans Dragons

5. Leeds Rhinos

6. Hull FC

7. Huddersfield Giants

8. Hull KR

9. Bradford Bulls

10. Castleford Tigers

11. Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

12. London Broncos

13. Salford City Reds

14. Widnes Vikings

1. Warrington Wolves

A very fit and strong team with plenty of depth that probably underachieved last year and will be targeting a place at Old Trafford at the very least. Tony Smith is a top class manager and has bought well again this year.

2. Wigan Warriors

Another team who will be targeting Old Trafford this year as a minimum and like Warrington have the strength in-depth to make a real Challenge for the Super League crown.

3. St Helens

Perhaps lacking the quality of the Wigan and Warrington first 13 but again have the strength in-depth to cope with injuries and will be looking at improving on last year’s league form.

4. Catalans Dragons

The Dragons will be looking at taking advantage of bigger home crowds in France this year after some disappointing home performances last year. A good league position will see them gain home advantage in the play offs which is a must if a trip to Old Trafford is on the cards.

5. Leeds Rhinos

The Rhinos took everybody by surprise last year and have to quality to finish  high in the league again this year but we can’t help but think that the strength in-depth isn’t quite matching the likes of Wigan and Warrington and injuries to key players may see the Rhinos struggle.

6. Hull FC

Hull FC are undergoing something of a resurgence with a new manager and owners and should get more backing from the large KC Stadium crowds this year. Hull FC will be relying on keeping their first 13 healthy as they lack the squad depth to really challenge. A good year for Hull FC will be the play off semis.

7. Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield struggled last year with injuries and again lack the depth to cope this year. The loss of Darrell Griffin will hurt whilst new signings have been less than inspiring.

8. Hull Kingston Rovers

Hull KR are another team with a new manager and will be looking for more consistency this year. Again lacking numbers, injuries or lack thereof will be key to Hull KR’s season.

9. Bradford Bulls

The Bulls have under achieved for a number of years now and financial restrictions have again seen a lack of real quality join over the off season. The large crowds will be hoping for better home performances which if happen could see the Bulls just make the play offs.

10. Castleford Tigers

Castleford  may not be a 1 man band but a loss to star player Rangi Chase will see a real lack of attacking flare. Another team with a small squad and a new manager make it difficult to know just how they will get on. Lack of quality new signing will see the Tigers just miss the play offs again.

11. Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

The Wildcats have really been through the mill the last few years and will be hoping a raft of new players and a new manager will see an upturn in form. A number of quality signings have been made and with bigger crowds expected at Belle Vue, home form will be key for the Wildcats. Lack of depth and a shortage of seasoned forwards could see Wakefield struggle with any injuries.

12. London Broncos

The London Broncos are back and with a number of quality signings including Mark Gower. We can see a real improvement this year and if the team start performing consistently at home they could finish near the play offs however a small squad could again dampen efforts.

13. Salford City Reds

Salford have a new ground, a new manager and a number of new signings but with the loss of the quality of Stefan Ratchford and another small squad, Salford could again struggle.

14. Widnes Vikings

Widnes have had to change nearly all of their team to make the step up to Super League and could struggle in the early rounds. Good home form will be vital if they are to avoid the wooden spoon.
