Made For Rugby is an apt title for the autobiography of one of Rugby League true greats.

Born in Oldham, Barrie went on the represent his home town club before moving on to Wigan. It was probably his next move that really launched the career of Barrie McDermott as it was whilst playing for the Leeds Rhinos that he won just about everything there is to win a club level.

After leaving the Rhinos, Barrie also played for Bramley and Widnes, whilst his long career saw him represent England, Great Britain, Ireland and Lancashire.

If all that wasn’t enough he has also held player development roles at Headingley and is probably best know as a pundit for SkySports.

Made For Rugby tells the story of the career of Barrie from his own view point.
